i can not believe that it has been a year!!! it has gone waaayy to fast!!!  sounds like hayden is following the rest of us. we went to the bike park in pincher creek yesterday. it was lots of fun and im still alive!!!! do you know where they went? were they in stirling? we got a new ward mission leader in the pincher creek ward. brother ludwig is the leader and his wife (sis ludwig) is a ward missionary. they (and their family) are awesome!!!!!   our teaching pool is still slim. we have lots of potenials that the ludwigs have been working with. we are teaching one family on saturday!!!!  so i guess if i have to send pictures than i think its only fair if you send pictures too!!! i atached some pictures of the recent baptisms. the older lady is betty, tristan is our little native kid and the family is judy conrad and travis. i cant remember what else is there so just ask and i will tell you!!

well dad this was an exciting email. i am a little jealous that you go drawn!! but we had a baptism on saturday which is just as good. we have had a slow week. transfers are tomorrow and we are both staying. elder sorenson will be here for 7 and a half months. things are pretty good here love ya!

well i cant lie to you so i opended it already. (His hump day gift.) i will send pictures to you when i get it. teaching pool is empty now. we are working on filling it back up. we went to the temple this morning.'

you betcha i got my package!!!! thanks soooo much for everything. i havent made the cake yet but im going to this week. i got my package on monday though. we had to drive to cardston to get it from the zone leaders though. there was a member in the ward that had us over for birthday dinner and they gave us easter baskets!! they are a really sweet family. i really enjoy pictures though!!! is there enough money on my card to by an adapter to plug my memory card in so i can send pictures? it shouldnt be more than 20 bucks.  this week was great. we had a baptism on friday. easter sunday. and we are on exchanges today so i am in vulcan (yes dad it is a planet on star trek) and elder sorenson bought 7 cans of shaving cream to fill their tub with it. so this morning after my shower i did that and filled the toilet and sink with it. it was really funny. i will have to send the pictures to you later.  transfers are a week from today and it looks like elder sorenson is leaving. i think my next companion will be the assistant to the presisdent right now. i think he will go district leader and serve with me. at least i hope so. he is a really neat elder. my trainer (from a year a go!!!!) is the new AP. just thought i would let you know!!  have a great week

Is anybody on today?

     We had pday today cause of interviews yesterday so we were able to go to the temple!!! it was lots of fun!

     Conference was really good. We watched it at the church. I am contemplating on buying a bike. I'm not sure if I will or how I  will pay for it. We are having a baptism on the 14 of April as well. She told us on Saturday that she is ready and that it is time. That was the best thing I had heard all weekend. Elder Sorenson has to email comment sheets again tomorrow around 10 AM our time so you can be on again and we can chat.

dad,

We taught our investigators. went to the Crowsnest Pass and stayed the night there. my companion is Elder Sorenson from Idaho. He has been out for eight months now. We are teaching 3 people in the pass. Judy and her two boys Travis and Conrad. they are getting baptized on Saturday.  I am really excited to be there. than in Pincher we are teaching Betty and Tanya. Betty comes to church every week and is going to get baptized in April. Tanya has never been to church and is facing opposition from her family. That sounds like you had lots of fun at the game!!! How is Tanner doing in baseball? So are grandma's goats just going to stay or are you going to take them back?  It snowed on Sunday and we got about an inch or 2. I wish  we could have a blizzard or something exciting like that.

Well we definitely worked hard this week. It seems like we are always busy all the time. It is a little tiring. Companion study is going good. We have 5 people that have a baptismal date. One lives in Pincher Creek she is in her late 60's she is having problems with drinking coffee though. Another one is a native boy who is 11. He is solid! He goes to Calgary though on the weekends and hasn't been to church. But he told us that he is going to make it this week or go to church in Calgary! And then we have three in the Crowsnest past. It's a mom and 2 sons. Their dad is a less active member and the mom works with a member of the branch out there. They were definitely prepared by the Lord. They accept the things we teach very well and the member is doing a great job fellowshipping them when we are not there!  Our area includes Pincher Creek (we live there) Fort McLeod and the Crowsnest Pass. The pass is 3 small towns kinda like the Gila Valley except its on the Alberta, British Columbia border and is in the mountains!! i really enjoy it out there. Fort McLeod has 2 wards, Pincher Creek has 1 ward and the pass has only a branch. the area here is rolling prairie hills with mountains in the background. I really like this place better than Calgary. I like the small town atmosphere.

Another week bites the dust and so does another month!!! Today marks the 10 month anniversary of entering the mission field! Time really is just going faster than I think and sometimes want it too! Transfers are next week as well!!!!!  I am probably going to be transferred out. I have been here for 4 1/2 months and that is the longest I have stayed in an area!!!! This week was pretty good. We picked up some new potentials that just moved from Germany! A member of our ward works with the wife so that is how we met them!  Dad, I read through your talk and it was really good.  You did a really good job of including scripture from the Book of Mormon and the Bible. Well dad, I don’t have anything to correct. You are teaching true doctrine so i cant argue with that!

mom and family,   

Well first things first I’m glad that the truck is still up and running. I'm hoping to drive it again when I get home!  Where were you picking oranges at? Tell Bro. Woodbrey hello for me.  Well its definitely not spring yet. The temps dipped into the high teens this weekend and I recieved more winter driving skills on Friday. It was snowing really bad and I couldn't see more than 600 meters in front of me!!! But we made it home safe and sound. On Sunday though we were driving to church and hit black ice and the car slid sideways. Lucky no cars were around us and my companion was driving. Then Sunday night we were coming home from Langdon. (its about 30 minutes from Calgary) we were getting back onto highway one and I look out and there is a suv off the road on the embankment. So we stopped and went over to help. She was fine. I think I scared her more than when she slid off the road!!! Whoops didn't mean to. She took the off ramp too fast and hit her brakes and slid off the road. She is lucky she wasn't upside down. Well i hope you don't have any driving conditions like this ;)

Dad,

Well they sorta celebrate Presidents Day up here. It's called family day though and everybody gets the day off and all the libraries are closed and such. So is Mitt Romney going to be there and everybody else? That is pretty cool that you are going to be there though! I'm glad that I have decided to go on a mission. My patriarchal blessing says that if I but my spiritual affairs in front of my temporal affairs that I will be greatly blessed for it. Well this week has been pretty slow. nothing too exciting happened. We have zone conference tomorrow from 9-4. I am not looking forward to sitting in a meeting that long!!! We went ice fishing yesterday with the assistants on lake Chestermere. it was fun and boring. We didn’t catch anything but a bad day of fishing beats a good day of anything else!!! Well i hope you have a great week.
